Certificates

Finish a course that offers a certificate and it's yours: private by default, with a link anyone can use to check it.

Earning a certificate

Courses that offer one say so on the course page. When you finish, the certificate appears under Learn → Certificates.

Illustration: A certificate, private until you choose to share it.

What a certificate says

  • Who issued it: the educator or NextMilestone, never both.
  • The course version you finished and the date it was issued.
  • Each claim on its own line, like Course completed or Assessment verified. A claim that wasn't checked says so.

Private by default

  • Only you see a certificate until you turn on Visible to recruiters.
  • Every certificate has a verification link. Anyone with it can check that the certificate is valid, whether or not you've shared it.
  • Certificates never change your XP, level, rank or leagues.

In teen mode

Note: Certificates from free courses work the same way, but they stay private and can't be shown to recruiters.
