Stakes and XP at risk
Adults can choose to stake some Week XP on matching last week. It's opt-in, settles once a week, and can be undone for 24 hours.
How a stake works
Step 1: Open Stakes in Climb
It's opt-in. Nothing is staked unless you choose to.
Step 2: Enter an amount
Any whole number up to the Week XP you earned last week. There's no suggested amount.
Step 3: Confirm and place it
You can undo it for 24 hours.
Step 4: It settles once, at the weekly close
Earn at least as much Week XP as last week and you get the stake back as a bonus. Otherwise you lose that much Week XP, never going below 0.
XP at risk
One meter on Today and in Climb shows how much Week XP is at risk this week. If nothing is, it says so.
Penalties
- Penalties only touch Week XP, never Lifetime XP or your level.
- Penalties other than stakes are capped at 25% of the Week XP you earned that week.
- Before a follow-up goes rusty, you get a warning day.
- Every penalty can be appealed for 7 days.
- We never send push notifications about penalties.
Adults only, and optional
Important: Teen accounts never have stakes or penalties. Adults can turn them all off with Calm mode.
